Who we are
David J Diamond Is Artistic Director and Founder of Stages of Change: Theater Practices for Healing and Engagement. He is Co-Artistic Producer of the La MaMa Umbria international Symposia in Spoleto Italy. He served on the steering committee of Theater Without Borders, which is engaged with the international exchange among theater artists. He coproduced conferences such as Socially Engaged Performance: A Global Conversation. He is founder and former Chair of the Barrow Group Theater located in New York City. He is an author, Associate Professor at Columbia University, community activist and facilitator of socially engaged theatre practices. As a Fulbright Specialist in theater, he had a residency with Dah Teatr in Belgrade, Serbia. He received two CEC/Artslink residencies in St. Petersburg, Russia. Other international residencies include Erbil, Kurdistan with ArtsRole and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with Sundance Theater Project. David is Founder and Director of Transformative Coaching for Theater Artists, which provides individual and group coaching and presents workshops, including Directing Your Theater Career at major universities.
